Twice-Exceptional Schools Analysis

Back to Projects

Created an interactive map visualization to identify NSW schools that support twice-exceptional students - gifted students who also have learning disabilities or other special needs.

A twice-exceptional student is one who is both gifted in one or more areas while also having a disability that significantly affects their learning. This analysis aims to help parents and educators locate schools that can support these unique learning needs.

Data Sources:

  • NSW Government School Locations and Student Enrolment Numbers
  • Specialist Support Classes by School and Support Needs Type
  • The interactive map highlights schools that have both: 1. Opportunity classes or selective school programs for gifted students 2. Special education support units or classes
